We invite all amateur theaters, associations, and sections to be part of history! Applications are now open for the 20th International Festival of Amateur Theaters (Međunarodni festival amaterskih kazališta), taking place from September 25 to 27, 2026, in the beautiful coastal town of Vodice.
Applications must be submitted by 31st of March 2026 via email to kazaliste@hrsk.hr. The Selecting Body’s decision will be announced by 30 April 2026 and is final. Selected groups must confirm participation within 10 days of notification.
Amateur theatre groups from abroad (outside Croatia) are invited to submit their productions for participation in the 20th International Amateur Theatre Festival, which will take place in Vodice from 25th to 27th September 2026. Please note that this call is intended exclusively for international groups, as Croatian groups are selected through national festivals.
Up to three productions will be chosen to form the international segment of the official festival programme. The selection will be based on artistic quality, acting, direction, and overall stage impression. Productions featuring professional actors are not eligible, and all copyright permissions for text and music must be secured by the participating groups.
Applications must include a completed and signed form, a full video recording of the performance in high quality (1080p, stable, unedited, and continuous), and three high-resolution production photographs. If the performance is not in a language commonly understood in the region, English or Croatian subtitles are required.
The festival will provide two nights with breakfast for all actors appearing on stage, the director, the group leader, and up to two technical staff, as well as the venue with basic lighting and sound. Travel expenses to and from Vodice are the responsibility of the participating groups.
20. Međunarodni festival amaterskih kazališta
Pozivamo amaterske kazališne skupine iz inozemstva (izvan Hrvatske) da se prijave za sudjelovanje na 20. Međunarodnom festivalu amaterskih kazališta, koji će se održati u Vodicama (Centar za umjetnost i kulturu) od 25. do 27. rujna 2026. Ovaj poziv namijenjen je isključivo međunarodnim skupinama, budući da se hrvatske skupine biraju putem Festivala hrvatske pučke drame.
Do tri predstave bit će odabrane za međunarodni program festivala. Selekcija će se temeljiti na umjetničkoj kvaliteti, glumačkim izvedbama, režiji i ukupnom dojmu na sceni. Predstave s profesionalnim glumcima nisu prihvatljive, a prijavljene skupine moraju imati sređena autorska prava na tekst i glazbu koji se koriste u predstavi.
Prijave moraju sadržavati ispunjen i potpisan obrazac, cjelovitu snimku predstave visoke kvalitete (1080p, stabilna, bez montaže i u jednom kontinuiranom zapisu) te tri fotografije visoke rezolucije. Ako predstava nije na jeziku koji je uobičajen u regiji, obvezni su titlovi na engleskom ili hrvatskom.
Festival osigurava dva noćenja s doručkom za sve glumce na sceni, redatelja, voditelja skupine i do dva tehničara, kao i prostor s osnovnom rasvjetom i zvukom. Putne troškove do i iz Vodica snose sudionici.
Prijave se šalju do 31. ožujka 2026. isključivo putem e-maila na kazaliste@hrsk.hr. Odluka selekcijske komisije bit će objavljena do 30. travnja 2026. i konačna je. Odabrane skupine moraju potvrditi sudjelovanje u roku od 10 dana od obavijesti.
